No Biggie...Our trustee was a very nice lady...almost cheerful. She made friendly conversation with one filer who is a private investigator and laughed at something our lawyer said. She obviously knows and likes him. Basically, she acted like a human being.
She asked for copies of our kids' money market account statements and asked a few extra questions about a small trust my husband receives from his deceased father's estate.
Our lawyer opted not to have a copy of the trust ready for her and will fax her a copy within the week. She was fine with that.
There are some contradictory clauses in it....spendthrift and mandatory disbursement so he didn't want her poking through it at the meeting. He's confident that the spendthrift clause protects it and is being cautious. When he sends it to her, he will put the page with the spendthrift clause on top. He feels that the combination of her being really busy and very reasonable will keep her from digging around trying to find ways to take it.
For now, we have to live without that income for the next 180 days. Not an easy task.
I was wired, tired and felt pretty nervous. Scarfed a burger afterward and feel like I'm back in my body.
