    What should I do now?

So I'm pretty sure I'm going to file for chapter 7 within the next couple of months. I don't have enough money, but if I stop paying the credit card debt now I'll probably have enough saved in around 5 months to pay for an attorney.

What should I do? Should I stop paying now on the debt I plan on including in the chapter 7?

If I do stop paying this month do I need to take all of my money out of my bank account and remove all of my online payment info. from the websites of the debt I plan on including in the chapter 7?

I wanted to do it so that I wouldn't have any late payments on record when filing, but if filing is going to ruin my credit anyway does it really matter if I have late payments on my record?

Yes, I would suggest u quit paying now... It's like throwing money out the window .. The creditor's will start calling shortly after that and it would take a while before they proceeded further to file a judgement on you...I think they are so swamped w/people just not able to pay that everything is in slow motion... Also, I would stop the auto withdrawls and get a new checking account at another bank.
I am fairly new at this but learing alot & quickly....

I have checking accounts with Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Are there any other banks that are as common as those two across the country?
