Also... what happens if you refuse to give your cars back after the bankruptcy? Has anyone ever done that? Let's say they called you to pick them up and you simply never called them. They can't sue you, right? Because you just went bankrupt on them.
I suspect it will be the day the tow truck shows up LOL

I've never heard of them "calling to come pick up their auto" .... they will just show up some night and if they can't get them that way then they will follow you somewhere and get it when you're in a store shopping.

Seriously, I can see wanting to keep your cars as long as possible...but at what point do you just say enough is enough.... when they come they come?? It's not like you get to keep it forever! So why not just suck it up and let them have their vehicles back?

O Me O My! Take off a few days to get my BK papers in a row & our Entertainer - drumroll please, drumroll, please - DEBTMONSTER IS BACK!

So, Buddy, you still got both of your vehicles? I read where one had a tracking device on it right? Hmmm, I know you've disconnected it by now, but I think they probably already know where the vehicle is located, if you still have it. I know you live out in the 'sticks' (no pun intended). You think they repo people will be able to trace to your house before you disconnected it?

Hey, nice comfy chairs in the 341 meeting room. Sure hope they have them in our hearing room located of all places in the Bank of America building!

Keep us posted on your vehicle drama. You've gone further than I ever thought you would without paying. Why do some have all the luck??

Just keep in mind they didn't have your current address before, but they do now. It's on your petition and the notices that the creditors received from the court.

They still have to motion for relief, so hopefully they delay long enough for your plans to work out.

You said it right! This is "Vehicle Drama!"

The thing is, when I filed, the address they have on file is a MAIL BOX ETC!! Nobody has the physical address where the cars are located. So they will have to write me a letter or call me and make times to pick up the cars. They will have to wait until I am ready.

I just can't give them a car while I am left with nothing. I want to make arrangements a day or so prior to them actually taking the car. I have to take all of my personal items out. I have custom speakers and a radio in there that would all have to be removed before I give the car back. I have a nice Alpine radio and Focal speakers that I have no intention on giving to the repo man. I paid a lot of money for that stuff and to replace it would cost a fortune. To sell it, I wouldn't even get $.10 cents on the dollar.

They have my current "MAIL BOX ETC" address. If they want to wait in a parking lot there all day when I come to check my mail every few days, more power to them. For the little money they make on a repo, I can't see them sitting there staking the place out waiting for me to show up. By the time I exit my car, check the mail and return to my car usually takes less than 60-120 seconds and then I'm gone. I park right in front of the door to walk into the place.

I had plenty of time to "plan" this bankruptcy and part of the planning was to make sure my cars were secure so it could buy me some time in order to save up a down payment to buy replacements.

Look how long I've had this BMW. While most all of you are getting your cars taken at 90 days, I've had this car for 7 months now without making a single payment and will probably have it at least 2 more.

You just have to be positive and plan properly. New people here will be able to learn from me.

The trick is to move to a new place and never forward any of your mail to that address. Don't use a PO Box because it's obvious. But a Mail Box Etc address looks like an apartment building address, so nobody even thinks twice.

The only negative to the Mail Box place is that it costs over $100 per year for the privilege to have this address.

Nothing I am doing is illegal. It may be unethical, but it's not illegal. I'm already in a bad situation that has hit rock bottom. This is as bad as it's going to get, so I might as well make the most of the situation. It's only going to get ugly once the nice cars are gone and I have to replace them with "not so nice" vehicles as I have now. So I am going to take every advantage of this situation that I can.

In a situation like this, you people need to stop thinking with "emotion" and think of "business". This is a business decision. I don't care about feeling sorry about the banks. They don't feel sorry for me in the least and did not care about charging me and other people thousands in interest. So I am not feeling sorry for them in the least and I hope you don't either.

Don't make anything easy for them. Don't volunteer any information or anything to these people. Let them earn all of that interest they made off of you in the past. The banks have been sucking us all dry for years and their interest is what put many of us in this situation. All these people had to do was wait 6 months or so instead of throwing in the towel at 90 days and putting us all into collection. Some people need much longer than 90 days to get back on their feet. Banks are too inflexible. Well guess what... SO AM I!
                Payback is a b*tch.
