Well, u still have a sense of humor... Just wanted to let you know you are not alone.. I am not as far along in the process as you are , just retained lawyer waiting to hear from them to start this roller coaster ride, but the anticipation of it all sometimes get to me. I just want it done /over/ let me know what I have pay and lets get on with it...

And like you I sure hope there are HAMSTERS at the end

I had that day about 2 weeks ago, the signing day. Keep the faith, we're doing that and so far so good. We are now less than a month away from our 341. 28 days to be exact, but whos counting?

Filing was a huge relief for me. I have felt some anxiety about our 341 in less than two weeks, but NOWHERE near as bad as I felt leading up to filing, and even before that, trying to figure out what I should do. That was the worst part. Congratulations on beginning your trek.

Congrats!, personally, I think the hardest part is over (deciding to file and gathering up mountains of paperwork). You'll be surprised how quickly the next couple of months will go. We look forward to hampster dancing with you.

I'm retaining my attorney today. I'm completely freaked out and questioning my decision. This feels like the deep, stomach-dropping roller coaster plunge. From this point forward, I intend to be on the exciting upswing.

Congratulations for mustering up your courage to file. I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I filed. I was worried about messing up with filing and anything missing that should have been included in my BK. My attorney said not to worry too much. He said it may be overwhelming at first but as time goes on the process gets a little bit easier.

If only I could find a way not to sweat too much everyday during the 60 days club after my 341 is done (if everything goes okay)

I was the happiest person in the world the day I filed! It was such a relief. I can now answer the phone and go to the mailbox with out having a panic attack!!!

looking back, filing was the step that gave the most relief. worrying about the 341 and the 60 days was silly in retrospect. my best advice is, try to convince yourself that you already have your discharge now and enjoy it. there is a reason why the date of the "order for relief" in the bk code is the filing date, not the discharge date. enjoy the relief.

You may wish to do what we did, it saved us some problems.
email everyone of your creditors your BK case number the minute you get it.
We did and with the exception of one company all of the rest of them confirmed that information and they stopped all contact.
If you don't do this it can take weeks in some cases for the BK information to get into the right hands within some of these companies.
