Since we filed on 7/3 my MIL has been in the hospital twice. She is 86 and her health has been failing for the last couple of years. My husband works commission only so when he's off work, he doesn't get paid. While it squeezes us tighter for sure, at least he's not stressing about trying to work (during her surgery) to pay the CC's and going to the hospital. At least he can go be with his mom.

Yes, this is a blessing in disguise. Can you imagine the guilt he would have if he had to miss his Mom's surgery and if something went wrong?
I hope all is well with your MIL and family, hang in there.May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs

Thanks for the kind words. I hear you! Both of my parents died young. I still feel guilt because I was a lot younger then. But we can only learn from the past!
You learn to set priorities in life that's for sure! My attorney (who is a dear friend of mine) said to me, do you think that on your gravestone it will say, "Here lies (Name) -- Citibank, BofA and Chase are grateful that you died from stress trying to pay us!" NOT!Filed Chapter 7: 7/3/09
