creditor keeps contacting me... what to do?

I just filed a week and a half ago. I know all my creditors have received notification and I specifically included a pool company I used right before I lost my job because they were charging me interest. My 350.00 bill for opening the pool turned into a 1000.00 bill so I named them in the bankruptcy so they would get notification however they keep calling! Should I send them a letter or have my lawyer do it???

If they are listed in your Creditor Matrix they will receive a notice of your BK in the mail since it is a small business. I wouldn't talk to them or bother your Attorney. Give it another week or two. If they are still contacting you, then I would contact your Attorney.

Bankruptcies are filed electronically and larger companies, like credit card cos. and loan/mortgage cos. are notified usually the next day. Smaller companies are notified my snail mail. Make sense?

It took about 10 days to slow down the calls for me.

When this creditor calls again, give them your case number verbally. As soon as you provide your case number, they must stop calling right then.

If you already have given this creditor your case number and they continue to call anyway, get your lawyer on them right away because they are violating the automatic stay.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

Yeah just disconnect the landline. I have a landline but the phone hasn't been charged for months. Not that I have any creditors calling since they don't know my whereabouts or they don't care.
