    checking reserve (draft topper)

I owed $1,500 on this but I paid $60 towards it last month. I had $.15 in this checking account because I opened a new one hoping to including that draft topper into my BK.

I accidentally used my debit card on that account for about $14 for a purchase of gas on Friday thinking it was the debit card from my new bank (they both have the same color card and the same silver colored lettering and BOTH start with SIOUX). I made a deposit via. overnight drop off to deposit it right away come Monday Morning. But it turned out they went ahead and borrowed from that draft topper before they deposited my check. They deposited my check within 15minutes, but into my checking account. I went ahead and paid that $14 back into that draft topper.

Was I wrong to do so? Do you feel this will cause trouble? I now learned to keep that debit card from this bank safe at home to avoid this.

    You'll be fine.

There was no intent to commit fraud here. It wasn't a luxury purchase. It wasn't a large purchase.

But keep the old card at home now, .

Whew! That was a close one!

      You'll be fine. Accidents happen.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
