I don't care what people say. That stuff is a magic elixer. I've seen that stuff perform miracles on cars like you could not even begin to imagine. I don't know a single person who has ever had one engine or transmission failure when using it. Yet everyone I know who has had a transmission die on them was using something else. Funny how if Amsoil is a scam, then why are the other fluids causing the failures?

I had a co-worker at my old job tell me, "When you're engine blows up from that stuff, is Amsoil going to buy you a new engine?"

Then one day that same guy came in late to work. His wife had to bring him in because his engine seized. I saw him later and I said, "Hey, is Mobil 1 going to buy you a new engine now?" He just walked away all pissed off.

You need to use Amsoil on a new car. Get it to blow an engine then come back here and tell me that Amsoil was a scam. I can't wait to read your "I told you so" post on that one.

I'm surprised BMW, Mercedes and all the other manufacturers haven't discovered Amsoil is the way to make a car last forever.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

At this point from what you wrote as long as your not behind on a house you want to keep then I'd file the 7. You can make arrangements with the IRS for the back taxes.

As far as the car is concerned. If you can swing it then buy a beater and get AAA for piece of mind. That way if you ever find yourself broken down and hubby is away for work you have someone to call.

Honestly it sounds like the Malibu is more trouble than it's worth. When you are in a better position you can get a better car. If you had to replace a transmission and the steering column you are looking at thousands of dollars in addition to the payments you need to make to keep the car.

        Good luck with your decision!

But, since the atty found out that paralegal no longer works there and we are only having to pay a few hundred to re-file instead of 1000.00. For some reason when the hold was lifted after the 3 months my payment increased another 300.00 per month. I guess because we were behind...IDK.
your lawyer seriously screwed you. you should go in there and insist on a conversion and not a refiling. refiling will make it look like you declared bk twice, but that's only your atty's fault. the atty had the responsibility of taking care of your case. "my paralegal left and i didn't know" is no excuse. have a face to face with the atty before the dismissal, that is, right now!
