I want to give my attorney all of my pay stubs from March through August of this year as soon as I can after August is over so that he can file me using those months. I am missing two pay stubs from March and one from April. I know what I made during those missing pay periods because I was able to do the math based on the figures on the pay stubs from the surrounding pay periods. But I come so close to the median that I don't want any red flags to be raised. So how can I get copies of those pay stubs from my employer without my employer realizing that I'm declaring bankruptcy? I'd prefer that they not find out.

I just asked my payroll dept. for copies. I sat there while she printed them out. She never asked why I needed them. I started off telling her I lost them and would like copies, then gave her the dates I was after.
I'm pretty good friends with the lady but I had no intention of telling her my reason behind the need. If asked, I would have said I need them for my records...
I just treated it like everything else in my BK. It's all information gathering for the purpose of fulfilling a business a decision I made in regards to my personal finances. I've tried to take the emotional aspect of it all and throw it out the window.07/31/2009 - Filed Chapter 7 Western District NC

If you are asked why you need them (chances are you won't be asked), just tell your employer that you need them for your tax records. Simple, eh?I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
