Still receiving collection letters, what if atty doesn't contact before discharge??

Well everything has been running smoothly until I started getting collection letters from about 4 companies roughly. Debt incurred before b/k filing in June. One of the 3 is in the petition. I've submitted this information now on 3 occasions and the b/k office says OK and yet doesn't seem to be doing their job on this. Can these accounts come after me even if there is a discharge because they were not notified?? Any suggestions???

    Thanks!

you are saying you did notify them, even if not through the petition, right? so it's not that they weren't notified. make sure to document how you informed them. if they keep trying to collect ask your atty to file for sanctions against them.

generally, if you are no-asset they can't come after you even if you didn't list them in the petition (unless they are non-dischargeable, like student loans).

There was one creditor I did not include and forgot about. A Telco bill. I sent the CA a copy of my discharge and have heard nothing since. I doubt they would come to FL for a small claims suit for 500 bucks. 'Hub
