Do any of you use a credit monitoring service?

We are doing a 30 day trial right now with True Credit but it loads so darn slow.

What else is there to pick from?

Try creditchecktotal.com. You can pull all 3 bureaus as often as you want and it includes all 3 scores. I've been very pleased. They have a free trial and the cost is $19.95 per month. I have heard if you call them to cancel they offer to reduce to $9.95/month but I haven't tried this yet.

Citibank has one called identitymonitor , its pretty affordable compared to the rest..i think $12 or so
not sure how good it is compared to the rest, but im a citi employee so i get it for half price

I used to use score watch with equifax... i gave you alerts if your fico dropped or increased and then you could pull an equifax report whenever to check it out

I would like to monitor all 3 and the fico from all 3

I think I checked out the one named above and it wasn't a fico..??
it was there own type of scoring number similar to fico?

I am using the equifax monitoring as well. Somehow I have it for free ... It monitors any activity on all three of my reports and emails me when there is a change. It does not do credit score. I also get unlimited equifax credit checks and discounted reports for the other two.

I also use CreditCheckTotal.com. I called them two weeks after my free trial ended and told them I wanted to cancel because it was "to expensive". They dropped the price down to $9.95.

There is one thing you need to be aware of with CCT. Sometimes when you go to their site, their homepage says the monthly fee is $29.95 a month. Just close out your browser and try again, you will eventually get the $19.95 a month offer.

I called to complain and the rep told me that is "completely random" on who gets the $19.95 offer and who gets the $29.95 offer.

CreditCheckTotal is Experian and you're right their score is called 'Plus' which is not your Fico score.

Then you have no credit to monitor! Your debt was discharged and your credit lines closed.

True but we reaffirmed our mortgage and it's supposed to update to a positive tradeline and we want to keep an eye on that. Plus we have one account that is reporting as open/late that should be included in BK IIB.

Edited to Add I also found that Equifax had dh's birthday wrong and the a lot of really weird Aliases listed for him. I just want to make sure everything is how it should be.

I am monitoring my credit because I want to see what is going on with it... lol. I want to see that my creditors are in fact zero'ing out my accounts and reporting me correctly. I also want to monitor anything that my mortgage companies are doing on my credit. I am also keeping my car and want to make sure things are ok with that... I also have student loans and I want to monitor those, which do not go away.

There are lots of reasons to monitor your credit even when you're in bankruptcy.

When I go to order a new report it asks me for my card number again and says that the charge is 39.95 for the new report. Can you not pull it more than once a month with them? If so, can someone explain how to me?
