    Thanks to everyone for helping me get through this and for keeping my mind occupied! I'll still be around (if only to find out how Dingdong makes out with the creditor from hell) and hopefully be able to offer a little help or at least encouragement. When I first contacted the lawyer, I thought the best I could hope for would be some sort of debt settlement or credit counseling. I can't believe in just a few short months, I have a fresh start! I learned a lot and am gonna do my damnedest not to make the same mistake twice!

        Congrats....I take it from your name you are in southern cal....did it take just about 60 days till your discharge and what area are you in? I am curious because my lawyer told me it would most likely take 30 more days for my discharge in orange county and I am at 57 days past the 341.

            Hi,

            I'm in San Diego and based on other cases from around here, it seems to be automated because they are discharging right on the 60 day mark exactly. The last day for objections in my case was yesterday and the discharge happened today.

              4/09 Converted to a Ch 7 due to loss in dh's income
              5/09 UST now involved no idea what happens next
              7/09 UST has decided to withdraw his motion to dismiss!
              7/27/09 DISCHARGED!!!
