Either go to the local Social Security Administration (SSA) Office... or... see if you have something sent to you from the SSA, such as a Social Security Statement (they send these out once a year I think), or a letter from the IRS with your name, address and SSN on it.
I used an IRS "balance" letter as proof of my SSN. You do need SOMETHING that proves your SSN, and it generally needs to be from the IRS or SSA.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

"Duties of Debtor
Every individual debtor shall bring to the meeting of creditors . . .:
(B) evidence of social-security numbers, or a written statement that such document does not exist."
So, it doesn't have to be your card, just "evidence" of your social security number.Pay no attention to anything I post. I graduated last in my class from a fly-by-night law school that no longer exists; I never studied or went to class; and I only post on internet forums when I'm too drunk to crawl away from the computer.
