    question about gross income

I have my medical insurance and 401K contributions taken out before tax. On my paycheck I have Gross income and Federal taxable income. Which one should I use in calculating my monthly income? Using my Federal taxable income I am $53 a month above median, using gross its going to be tough a bit more....

about to get the lawyer paid and trying to get this ball rolling

    thanks

You have to use your gross income.

it's always gross income that you use. But on the means test they have a spot for taxes, and medical insurance taken out (not 401k though).
