Do I have to include an amount when listing a creditor

I was accused of hitting someone's car in a parking lot and I want to include it in my filing but since it just happened I don't have an amount to list in the filing. I don't even know if the person will come after me for money, but after looking the person up in public records I see that they have been party to quite a few civil cases and I have no desire to be next.
Do I have to give an amount when listing the person ?

just say unknown or undetermined. also make sure to mark this creditor as "disputed" in the creditor matrix.

did this guy win any cases? did he have an attorney or did he go it alone?

some people, unfortunately, think of the court system as a money machine.

OP, I just knew you had to be in S Florida! So am I. It is amazing the number of people that make a living out of doing exactly what you describe....

I am truly sorry it happened to you. But, the fortunate part is, at least it happened before you filed and not afterward.

Music is exactly right, you can say unknown and definately dispute the potential debt.

I will list him and do as you advised.

He has sued with lawyers. Lots of lawyers. I see that he has had casses dismissed, cases he lost and the big one that just ended a couple of weeks ago doesn't have an outcome published, so I don't know if he has won.

He has so many red flags going on I can't even tell you. Liens, suits, you name it he has been involved. Funny thing is he had his camera ready in his glove box. He was ready for this to happen. He was waiting for a victim.

I feel so abused. That's ok though he has hit a rock when he is dealing with me and he will get no blood.

One more reason to love south Florida.

No ,it absolutely was not my fault. I didn't hit the guy.
If I had hit him I would have felt like a complete idiot and been angry with myself for hitting him and be kicking myself for having another bill to pay, but I would admit I hit him if I did, but I didn't do it and that is why I feel like I am being totally taken advantage of.
Not only is he accusing me of something I did not do, he scared the living crud out of me.
Imagine this, you go to the bank to withdraw the last of your money, money you are going to pay your lawyer to file bk later in the week and this guy blocks you in and quickly approaches your car window yelling. I honestly thought the guy wanted to rob me before I realized what he was saying. If I had taken the concealed weapons permit class like my hubby had wanted me to do, this guy may have been staring down the barrel of a gun, approaching me like he did.
