Discharged, Now how to vacate judments

I have two judgements filed against me and I was wondering how to vacate them. Anyone have experience with this. How much does it cost? Do I need to appear in court? Do I have to file two motions to vacate since I have two judgements? My case hasn't closed yet so should I wait until it is closed ? Confused please help. Thanks to all.

Well in my old age, I can't remember if you got your Victory Dance, but here is one anyway, you deserve it:

P.S. your judgments should be discharged in your bk. Send the Court your discharge order. 'Hub

Also, it does not have to be closed, only discharged. Closing is clerical clean up.

Here is a Thread concerning Judgements. Especially read what HHM posts as it sounds like it is something an Attorney will charge extra.

You should file copies of the discharge with the court where the judgments are. You should file a copy for both case numbers. You will also have to request that the judgment be vacated. This is often done on a motion but I'm not sure if you are required to appear or not.

Once you do that, will the public record of the judgment be deleted from your credit report or do we have to do that with the reporting agencies? We have one as well that we need to take care of once we're discharged in October.

I know in ohio it is an additional 199.00 to file with the courts to have the judgements vacated.
