REAFFIRMING a Car Loan

I filed on June 28th. I had my 341 last week and the last day to object is the 28th of September. I am going to reaffirm my car loan. I am current on the payments. I have heard nothing yet. When should I?
Is there any chance they may forgive any of it? I owe 4800.00. Anyone ever say, hey I'll give you half of that or anything like that or am I dreaming?

The finance company on dh's truck offered us a deal similar to that but only b/c we surrendered it. After they repoed it then they offered to let us have it back for a much lower price.
