Anyone file ch 7 and want to reaffirm their house loan and the bank or court refused?

I want to keep my house and I am current. In my state we must reaffirm loans.

Is that true? I thought that if your current they could not foreclose on you.
I tried to reaffirm but no paper back. Now I'm discharged so it is to late.

Not knowing your state or circumstances, I would just keep up to date on your payments. As long as current I cannot comprehend they wish to have another house to own and maintain that will certainly become a wreck unprotected. Sorry, the only advice I can give. 'Hub

I have been researching this also. Im in the same position as you. I have not heard of a case where people got kicked out if they were current. It depends on the bank if they want to reaffrim. if you are current I can't see why not.

You might want to give your lender a call and ask them about a reaffirm if someone files bk.

We are current on the mortgage and we would like to reaffirm. I was just nervous that they would say no for whatever reason.

We are in NH and from what I understand we have to reaffirm car and house loans, there is no ride through.
