341 yesterday and have to go back to court to reaffirm?

I guess I rejoiced too quickly, because I just found out that I have to go back to court to reaffirm my vehicle. Did anyone else have to go to court again for this? My atty said that it has to be done this way, no ride throughs.

They said it would be in the same bankruptcy court with the trustee. I asked her since we were only reaffirming one of the two vehicles would the trustee check our schedules and possibly push us into a 13, but we were enough upside down with our schedules to cover the note. They said no, generally its just an approval or not.

WHY WHY??? Couldn't we have done this yesterday? Why two court dates?
The attys office acted like it was routine, nothing to worry about. Fine for them to say that!

    Anybody else go through this?

We did not have this problem at all. My lawyer was simply asked by the Trustee if we could afford this. She said we could. The Trustee approved the raffirmation and that was that. Now the Judge can over rule this if HE does not think you could afford this and then a hearing would be made. I think your lawyer is too quick to go to hearings. I don't know your state's laws as they very here and there. Do a search on reaffirms here and see what others in your area have experienced. 'Hub
