    Just Filed

    We made the decision to meet with a BK lawyer in March.
    Stopped paying the CC bills right after that.
    Had a panic over a very small trust, smoothed out that wrinkle.
    Lawyer filed day before yesterday with a trustee that he feels is not one who likes to fight.
    341 is September 3.
    What a relief.

    5/09 UST now involved no idea what happens next
    7/09 UST has decided to withdraw his motion to dismiss!

      hey it look like we are on the same timeline! my 341 is sept 4th! Good luck to you and hopefully we both have a smooth 90 days!

        Good luck to you Scorpios.

        This has been such a good decision for us. Very few tears of guilt and shame. Our lawyer really helped with that.
        We fought the good fight. For five years, we used the CC to pay bills (income to pay minimums) with our business being all over the place financially.

        I'm looking forward to the 341. Our lawyer knows many of the trustees so he waited a while to take the best gamble at a nice one. He feels we are pretty straight forward but said there are just some trustees who are a little scrappy.

        OK. Dumb question...what to wear to the 341? Suit and heels or pickle barrel?

          I wore blue work pants and and golf shirt. Neat and clean.

            Definitely go with 'business casual'. You want to look like you respect the Trustee and the proceedings but you don't want to go dressed to the nines (is that expression even used anymore?)

            I went in a long sleeve button down shirt and a nice pair of khakis. There were some people dressed better than me and some worse than me so I felt I hit a nice medium. Course looking back, I don't think the trustee would have cared if I wore cutoff shorts and a muscle shirt, but it never hurts to try and make a good impression.

              our laywer told us just to dress casual...jeans nice shirt since we live in az he said we could wear shorts the key is I think you dont want to take in you designer purse or have lots of jewlery you want to look basic but clean.

              It is nice to see that someone will be going through at the same time(im sure there are thousands)!

                I wore jeans and a nice sweater and flats, everyone at our 341 was dressed pretty casual, jeans, shirts, no one was dressed up except the attorneys.

                May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)
