Question about credit union bank account

I have a credit union bank account and had a credit card with them until it was closed last year. I am planning on including the credit card in the BK7. I know if the card was owned by the bank they will more then likely close your checking account as well, but this card was actually owned by MBNA and then Bank of America. It just had my credit unions name on it, but the website I went to pay it was Bofa and is even listed as such on my credit reports.

My question is since it was actually owned by Bofa do I have to worry about the cu closing my checking account?

it sounds like the card is owned by bofa, but the credit union itself probably isn't.

people have had no problems with checking accounts being closed except with wells fargo.

Okay thanks, I really like the CU I am with now and dont want to lose them. Plus its a huge pain. I still may get a backup checking to be safe.

My thinking was the same, since bofa technically issued the card and it just had my CU logo on it I thought I would be safe. Of course I have to stay away from bofa though.
