looking over the board I seen a few people that included firearms in there BK paper work.
when we met with our lawyer she never asked us about firearms when she was asking her questions. I sold most all of my firearms last year around christmas time to buy my daughter and wife gifts and to pay for other holiday related expenses.
but I still own 2 firearms...do I need to let the attorney know about these? one is an old Russian rifle made during WW2 and can be bought all day long for about $100 and the other firearm is the revolver I carry on a daily basis for protection and can be bought brand new for $250 and "street value" of it would be more like $150-175.
after reading through the threads on this board Im starting to second guess my choice for an attorney, as ours doesnt seem to be as helpful as some of the ones Ive read about on this board...we went to her becuase she had great reviews even tho her fees are about $300 or so more than the average attorney int he area.
the only thing she really asked us was normal expenses, how much the home/vehicles are worth, how much our cloths and furniture would sell for and how much our 2 dogs are worth{which is very hard to put a price on 2 family members..being rescue dogs I just said they are worth the $75 we paid to rescue them} but she never asked about firearms and frankly I wasnt really thinking about them at the time anyway.
I need to run by her office tomorrow and drop of some collection letters I recieved, while Im there should I let her know about the firearms?
I think IN allows $4k in tangible personal property{wild card and $7,500 homestead} and what we own is worth well below all that...I assume firearms would fall under tangible property?
