What about last payment date vs last purchase date?
Let's say you made a purchase on June 1st and in July you came to the conclusion that you were not going to be able to keep up with it all. The July minimum payments were made. What happens if you stop paying starting in August? Do you have to keep paying minimums during that 90 days?
I guess my question is if I made purchases in June when should I stop throwing minimum payments away?9/30/09 * Filed Ch7

It really depends on the creditor and how large the transactions were. I had one credit card that I used up to like a month or so of filing. I asked my lawyer about it and he said living on your credit cards is what is getting you into this mess to begin with. Pretty much all the charges I made were like gas, groceries, clothes etc... didn't buy any luxury boat liners. I also had some balance transfers almost 90 days to the date of my filing.
The worst that can happen is the credit card company will dispute the charges and you do some work out with them.
I haven't heard a peep, knock on wood, from any of them and they all have zero'd out my balances on my credit report.BK Ch 7 Discharged 09/2009 | Anything I say can and should be used as friendly advice and sharing of experiences with an unbiased viewpoint.
