Trustee checking to see if mortgage is 'okay'?

    Hello all,

We had our 341 today. I'm not sure how to feel.

The trustee grilled us pretty hard about several items (my daughter's truck, my husband's retirement, how we spent our tax refund, etc.). Thankfully, we knew how to answer the questions and our attorney had all the documentation EXCEPT a copy of our mortgage. The trustee asked us what we paid for our home and what we owe. We definitely owe more than its current value. In any case, the trustee wants a copy of our mortgage. He said he wants to make sure everything is "okay" with it. I have no idea what that means.

After the 341, our attorney explained that some mortgages weren't done correctly during the "boom" and the trustee wants to make sure that ours is right. He's going to see if he has a copy, if not he said he'd ask us to visit the county recorder's office to get one.

Can anyone tell me if we're in the 60 day club? Can or will the trustee do anything to us any longer? Is it really down to the creditor objections now?

I honestly don't know whether to celebrate or cry.

Thanks so much for any insight you might have.

That is what my Trustee at our 341 hearing told our lawyer. Have the copy in his hands within 4 days or he would continue and we could do this again.

          oh.

but sleeplessinohio's trustee didn't say 4 days and also didn't say the meeting would continue. so the two trustees are different obviously.
