I don't believe there are "10 required questions". That particular trustee may have has 10 he asked each petitioner.

Basic questions include, asking your name and if the information on the petition is correct. Easy stuff.
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick

According to the NOLO book, the trustee is required to ask these questions. This does not mean that you will be asked them, but everyone at my hearing was.

Here's a link to a thread about it that includes the questions: http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.php?t=7959

        Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, that was very helpful. I cannot seem to find a button for how to post my own thread.....Because I am new?

Grats to you! I'm actually surprised by how much easier my trustee is/was than other people's. We only had to fill out a questionaire and then he asked me like 5 questions... like do I still live on the same street, did I read the trustee's handout etc...he only asked me one personal question. He asked me if I bought my house in 2007. Then he said he had all my documents, everything was in order and good to go. Then he gave it all back to me and said I could go.

Pretty much everyone's 341 went that way. Except for one couple that owned a business and they were grilled by the UST as well.

There's a button in the top left corner that says "New Thread"

At the top of the page - not this page- but under the different forums. There is a New Thread button on the left side above all the threads. Click on it.

I'm glad yours went easy. Our trustee has been involved in some case law...I think she's known for being really tough. At the end of the day, as long as you are organized and telling the truth, it doesn't matter what kind of trustee you get. I'm just glad it's over.
