Chap 7 / PACER question...

Hey everyone!

I filed for Chapter 7 on 6/15 in the District of Montana. The 341 meeting was on 7/7 and went very well; I haven't received any letters from the US Trustee yet, so no news is good news there. However, the last update on PACER about my case was on 6/18 and reflects when they set the date for the 341 meeting (there is one more update on 7/6 saying they have received my first payment on the filing fee). The case status is still "Awaiting 341." I understand that the lack up updates could just signal that the court is busy, but is there a point where I should be looking into this further? Thanks!


UPDATE: I checked the status of 4 or 5 of the other filers who were there for their 341 meetings too, and their case statuses were updated within 2-3 days (??). Thanks for bearing with me, I'm just trying not to read too much into this!

They probably just haven't gotten around to updating it yet.

ignore what it says under status. for some people it says "awaiting 341" all the way to their discharge.

the important thing to check is the docket report. the update on 6/18 could be your trustee's report of no distribution, which would appear on the docket report. go for it and let us know if i'm right or what!

This is the last entry on the docket report (besides the mention of them having received my payment):

"BNC Certificate of Mailing - Meeting of Creditors. (related documents(s) 5 Meeting of Creditors Chapter 7 No Asset). No. of Notices: 25. Service Date 06/17/2009. (Admin.) (Entered: 06/18/2009)"

oh, i'm so sorry, i confused your filing date with your 341 date, my mistake!

hopefully your trustee won't wait too long to file his/her report. still, the status won't be what's important but rather the docket report.

the good news is that yesterday was the last day of the 10 business days from your 341 for the UST to file something. they shouldn't be able to file anything now, which is good news for you.
