Do you do means test if below income?

I am wondering if you still have to pass the means test if you are below the
income guidelines for your family size? Just curious if we will have to come
up with all of our monthly expenses, when we're about half the income that
is allowed for our family size.

Sara (if you wish your name to be used it is your decision. You cannot use others for security reasons.) We did not have to meet the means test. However later, we were an asset case. I think it depends on your lawyer also. There are many free means tests on the Internet if you Google. I'm not quite at hand if we have a "stickies" on the forum. 'Hub

You won't have to do the means test but you'll still have to do an I and J which shows your monthly pay and all your monthly expenses.

You still have to complete PARTS of the means test! It is the means test that proves you are under the state median.
