AmEx is brutal in this regard. I think they passed me to collections even before I was 60 days late. And their collections started calling my parents all the time - I told me parents to tell them not to call anymore and they stopped. But then they pass it on to another person in the collections firm and they start calling the parents and they say OH, I'm so sorry they didn't let me know there was a no call policy for you. They did this with my no call at work too - passing it on to a different person - Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize there was a no call for you at work.

Oh well, AmEx can cry now - 100K discharged with them - they LOST!!!

Oh, I forgot to say - all a collections person has to do is go to whitepages.com - they list all of the phone numbers of your immediate relatives and neighbors right there for them to use.

Out of all my creditors, only American express call my old roomate who I still keep in touch with. She said they would not tell her why they were calling only to have me call them.

AmEx called my sister's boyfriend's parents. No kidding.
I was around 60 days late at the time.

Fortunately they thought it was some kind of scammer calling.

Still have no idea how AmEx got their phone number.
