How long does it take to show up on Pacer?

Hello I live in Southern California. My lawyers office filed my petition on June 26th electronically. Today is July 7 and I still haven't gotten a 341 date. Why am I not showing on Pacer yet? Is there a backlog of cases in Southern CA?

Mine petition showed up immediately, but I noticed that it takes a few days for any documents, etc to show up.

Do you have your BK case number? Are you sure your attorney filed your case?

Maybe your lawyer didn't send you the notice. My wife and I were on our mailing matrix and my lawyer seems to be on top of things.

We're filed as of 6/29 and are on Pacer by now. We've also received our 341 date and a letter from our lawyer as to what to bring

We filed in So Cal, Central and were given our 341 on the spot (we are pro se).....it showed up on Pacer two days later. As in, I filed at 1030am and it was there 48 hours later.

thank you for your quick replies. I called the office today to get my case number but the parallegal specialist that did my paperwork is off today. So, I asked to speak to another specialist and she said that according to her "internal records" I only made a partial payment of $100.00 ...which NOT TRUE...because I made a check for $1,000 and handed over $1,400 in cash! I have the reciepts to prove it. The specialist asked me to call back tomorrow to speak to my parallegal. I'm pretty fustrated with these people. It's been 12 days and still no court date. I hope he filed it like he said! I pay good money as a client and trying to get information from them is like pulling teeth.

I would imagine based on that conversation and Pacer, that it was not filed....and the fact that she could not give you a case # and cited payment as the issue.....sounds like you fell through a crack.

Just curious...did you go through "Legal Helpers" by any chance?!? Their office sounds like a BK Mill

yes, Teachermomma, I have a sick feeling that you may be correct. I will call the office tomorrow morning and investigate. Good thing I kept the reciept that I paid 2400 shhheeesh. I will complain to the attorney about them (his parallegals). But then again...I really don't want to piss any of them off since they are handling my sensitive and important paperwork!

LOOK, you are a customer. If you search this site, you will find a voluminous amount of lawyer complaints. If you do not stand up for yourself, they will take your money and do an easy life at your expense. You do not have to be rude of course, just insistent. 'Hub

azncaliboy-we are in so cal central district. Our case was filed 7/3/09 and I could see it on Pacer over the weekend. We our 341 date which is 8/6/09 via email from our attorney right after it was filed.

If you weren't filed in June your schedules will need to be completed again to include any income changes occuring in June that differ from last December. Also your cash on hand is probably different as well.

I would be quite upset with your attorney if I were you. Good luck!

Just got off the phone with my parallegal. He gave me the case number 09-bk-xxxxx. I left out the last 5 digits for confidentiality reason..he he. Is this the correct format for a case number?

He also says my 341 is on Aug 14th. Now that I have a case number...I can start working on my 722 redemption. I hope WF is willing to negotiate. My car is valued at 9k but I owe WF 14.8k!

Did they just file your bk? Usually the 341 is 30 days from filing
Yes, that is the right format for your BK case, when you use Pacer just put in the last set of numbers.

Now that you have a case # you can see on Pacer the exact date they filed, seems like it was within the last few days - we filed 5/19, our 341 was 6/22....

Or, Pacer is being searched incorrectly?

Liz417 and Teachermomma...I noticed both you ladies are from Inland empire. I'm from Los Angeles so maybe there is a back log of cases hence the delay of pacer update. I'm only speculating....in any event...I have a court date now and just have to hope for the best outcome! Peace-out...
