        You have NO IDEA how much I would love that!!!

        Think of it... 100+ years from now, there will be no more gasoline engines. The outside air will be so much cleaner from all of that smoke from cars and diesel trucks... especially for those living in big cities like New York.

            We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

            Read the highlighted text dodo. If it makes someone happy to eat they have an unalienable Right to pursue their eating. If smoking a cigarette makes someone happy they have a right to do so as Liberty affords them as such.

                  That's fine and dandy, but when you get lung cancer and other related diseases and have to be visiting doctors and hospitals, why should everyone be forced to pay higher health insurance premiums because of this? You're in essence stealing from everyone, just like shoplifters do when stores have to raise the prices to deal with the loses.

                  If you want to live on an island and smoke and die without it affecting society financially, I AM ALL FOR IT.

                  But it's like me driving like a maniac and killing myself. Then somebody has to pay for all of the trees, light poles, fences and whatever else I damaged when I crashed and killed myself. Somebody has to pay for all that when I am dead. It's not free. Neither are hospital bills. All of us have to pay when people do bad things to themselves. I am tired of paying for it. Every time someone makes the decision to not pay attention in a car and crash it, my car insurance premiums go up.

                  Insurance would be so much cheaper if people would simply stop making bad choices. Since they obviously are not capable of doing the right choices on their own, we need gov't intervention to step in and make laws to piss all of you off. Believe me, I hate doing 55 MPH on the highway just like anyone else, but I know it does good, so I deal with it.

                          Not bragging, but I have faster internet than most. I have dual 30M/15M fiber lines to my home. They are bonded, so it's 60Mbps/30Mbps. I don't think all of Japan has the 100Mbps speeds, just as all of the US doesn't have the 50Mbps speeds. (Trying to keep this Bankruptcy related... it is probably why the Trustee hates me.)

                          I think the U.S. problem is actually created by competition and lack of government involvement in most infrastructure (electric grid, communications systems, internet (although the NSF pays a big chunk for the backbone), cellular systems, etc). Well, they can't even get the roads right, so... maybe it was better left to the "market". And people can't blame this on our Rural issues. I live in a Rural area outside the city. I get better internet service out here (because everything is "new" and all on fiber), than they do in the City!!!

                            I was getting 16M out in the country. It's not fair that you get 30M and I move back to Dade County and all I can get is 6M for $40/mo. This is such a scam.

                              I guess that makes you a thief since you have NO HEALTH INSURANCE and plan to discharge tons of medical debt in bankruptcy, leaving the rest of us to pay higher health insurance premiums and copays.

                              It should be illegal to finance a BMW in lieu of paying for health insurance.

                                Yes, it is. And, I think that's my point. It's all based on "market" factors and what's more important. Why does this person, justbroke, who lives in a new suburb (unincorporated area) get blazing internet speeds, and the people in the city, get 6M for $49.99/month? Don't ask me.
