Checked Pacer for the first time

    It states I filed 6-30-2009
    Nature of debt: consumer
    Pending status: Awaiting 341 Meeting
    Flags: DEBTDD, MEANSNO

I think I'm correct in that MEANSNO refers to no assets but I haven't been able to find DEBTDD. I assume DEBTDD refers pre-bk class being completed and certificate was received?

I have yet to receive my BK letter telling us when our 341 will be.
    6/30/2009 Filed Ch. 7
    10/06/2009 Discharged
    01/24/2011 Closed

MEANSNO means that you do not have the means to fund a Chapter 13.

DEBTDD means that a Financial Management Course Completion document has not been filed Do Not Discharge!

You need to get the DEBTDD flag fixed!
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

Should I contact my attorney or should I e-mail the pre-bk certificate directly to the court/trustee myself?

As long as you are represented, they will only talk to your lawyer. Email or mail it to him/her. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

As a matter of fact, I'm guessing that the Debtor Education Certificate needs to be filed within 15 days of filing. I'm also guessing that you need to get that to the Court, via your lawyer, by 7/15/2009 or risk having your case dismissed.

You may want to re-check PACER to see if there is a deficiency notice.

Also, there's a second course due as well, the financial management one, in order ot receive your discharge. Some Trustee offices offer this class for free. Check with your attorney.

If you look in PACER at the Deadlines/Hearings link, you should be able to see a line that's for your 341 Meeting. If the meeting has been set, the "Due/Set" column will have the date and time of the meeting. Please note that clicking that Deadlines/Hearings link costs $0.08 each time.

I've e-mailed my attorney and attached a copy of the certification pdf. I also contacted CCCS and asked them to resend my certification packet to my attorney. Just trying to cover all bases.

If you had originally given this to your attorney prior to filing... he dropped the ball. Make sure you get on his/her case on Monday/Tuesday.

If you forgot to give it to your attorney... well... don't beat yourself up over it.

CCCS told me they would send it to my attorney, so I assumed they did. I wasn't aware if would need to come from me, I thought It would have to come from them in order for it to be legit.

No, these certificates are really on your honor. You don't want to perjure yourself so you wouldn't submit a bogus one. In any event, I've heard in other places where these companies didn't send the certificate along.

So you've sent it to your attorney, and your attorney will file it with the Court. You should be fine now.
