Trustee Recovered Assets & Creditors - What Happens IF?

    Hi there,

I had to pay the trustee money in order to keep non-exempt assets. I understand that unsecured creditors must file a proof of claim in order to be paid. What I would like to know, what if no creditors file a proof of claim by the bar date, what happens to the funds? If I am correct, the trustee gets his percentage and then court fees, but what about the rest? Does the remainer get returned to the debtor?

If no one files a proof of claim, then the funds are refunded to you.
