I think she's referring to the initial letter you get after you file. Mine said the same thing...but doesn't mean that they couldn't change their minds later.

Yes...it is the paper they send you after you file. I got one from my lawyer when I went in to see him. Since I didn't get one in the mail. Do you think I will still get one in the mail too????We filed June 12 why is it taking this long???

The courts in Colorado may just be backed up. Presumption does not arise is what you want.

            Good Luck!

I think that you won't get anything in the mail because they are only going to communicate directly with your lawyer - that's what you're paying him/her for, right?

I feel I have to ask - if you lawyer has already given you the information from the court, why are you worried about receiving it in the mail as well? Even if you did receive something in the mail it would just be a copy of the same thing.

I don't think this is something to stress about!

You right....but I moved in with BF and I did not do an official change of address with the post office. I've been just changing these on my own. Well, the paper I got from the lawyer (the courts) had my address as my bfs...like I'm using. I guess I let his paralegal know and didn't remember.So...I'm wondering if the post office people are not bring all the mail here. Well, I have got some here and it had a question make on the envelope. If my new address is on the court paper...that does mean that the court has the correct address then?

if you are worried you might not be getting all your mail, add your name to the mailbox, next to your boyfriend. the question mark on the envelope is probably from the postman who doesn't know if he should be delivering to you at that address. and if he is not sure, he might not deliver to box unless you tell him to. call the local post office early in the morning and ask for your area's letter carrier, or catch him while he is delivering the mail.

If you put a change of addresss in, you will be fine...don't worry. Sure there will be some things that still get sent to the other address, but it WILL find it's way to you...

if you filed a change of address with the post office, then wait 10 days and all your mail will come to your new address. none of your mail will go to the previous address any more.

about the mailbox, you should probably put your name on the inside of the box (find where your bf's name is, and stick it next to it)

Not to make her worry more...but "official" things do not get forwarded. Like if you get an unemployment check in the mail or like county or gov't type things... not sure if this applies to bankruptcy documents as well... but the official things will get returned.

I also moved after I filed... my attorney just submitted an official change of address to the court and I see it on pacer.
