How long after the stay gets lifted?

So I have decided to surrender my car since I'm so upside down. I believe the stay will be lifted in the next day or two. Trying to figure out how quickly they will come & get it. I was planning on just calling them and setting up a time or dropping it off at the dealer as I don't want them to come get it at the house.

Does the finance company get noticed electronically or by mail when the relief is granted?
Any idea how many days I have?
Anybody have any experience with Hyundai motor finance?

    Thanks!

    They will be notified electronically.

Depends on your states and the local rules. However it could happen the night after the stay is lifted. I wouldn't leave any personal items in the vehicle. You could call them and arrange a date and time to surrender once the stay is lifted, they might or might not contact you prior to the repo man knocking on the door.

Normally they will make an arrangement with you/your attorney for the vehicle to be available for pick up.

I surrendered one of my cars. I worked with the repo guy I don't think by any means this is the norm but it took them 3 weeks to make arrangements for me to meet them to hand over the car.

I assume the notice will be put on pacer when it is lifted. I just plan on watching it & calling them to make arrangements as soon as that happens.

I'll be glad when this part is over--I'm more nervous about this than anything

If you make arrangements to surrender the car you will have control of the situation and this fear and uncertainty will disappear!
Well, I did. Every one of 'em. Mostly I remember the last one. The wild finish. A guy standing on a station platform in the rain with a comical look in his face because his insides have been kicked out. -Rick
