Filed Chapter 7 today

Just got home from filing my Chapter 7 (Pro Se) bankruptcy paper work. 5 hour round trip drive and only spent 5 minutes with the bankruptcy clerk.

All I can say is that I am happy to get that out of the way.

Congratulations on taking the BIG step. Now that you have done it, I am sure your feel releived. You will probably get a paper in the mail in the next couple of days letting you know when your 341 will be. Be sure to have your DL and SS card in hand.

Its a big relief to get all that paper work out of the way. Even though I worked on everything here and there for a good month, I finalized everything Saturday and Sunday night and went over everything again Monday night.

I just checked my states courts website on 341 hearings and my wife and I are already listed for August 5th, 3 days before my 31st birthday.

I was originally going to go by myself, but I talked my wife into going with me. Even though it was a long drive, it was nice to see part of the state that we very seldom get to see. It was kind of rough on our 2 daughters because they are both in car seats, but all in all, it was a good so-called road trip.
