I know you can include your utility bills in bk, so I was wondering if the utilities are in my name and we are moving into a rental Aug. 1, can I just put the utilities for the new place in DH name and add the ones for the old house in the bk? Anyone do this before? Just curious.....

This is what Dh and I did. We put new utilities under his name BEFORE we filed, and then I put the old unpaid utilities that were under my name in BK. Our credit is trashed so we had to pay deposits, but they will usually work out a payment plan with you on that. -
