Oh man! I just filed yesterday.... don't know when my meeting is yet. I hope it is in 2005. I just mentally want to get all the BAD NEWS of my life out of the way this year and toast to a new beginning in 2006.
I guess we can start our new lives any ole time!!

On the bright side, the automatic stay is longer. I am going off of what Pacer said so we will see. I am trying to get the final paperwork that I filed from the lawyer but being unresponsive. I think they have me listed as a creditor for some reason. I wish I owed myself money......Comment

I filed 10/3 and my meeting isnt until 11/15. Things are pretty backed up but a Late January 341 meeting is crazy.Filed: 10/3/05

It may have a lot to do with the 130,000 people that filed on Thursday and they don't know how many will file on Friday (today).....
Could also be a typo error - best check with the clerk and have her check the date for sure.....

Perhaps if you're a BK attorney who doesn't want to DO BK's w/ the new laws, you might be able to get a job as a BK trustee??? well last week I was looking at some that were filing and they were all the way into December so my date makes sense, I actually like that automatic stay thing for a longer periodComment

I just called the district where I filed and it looks like mine is set for Nov. 21st, but she did say that some of the people who filed in the last few days -may have a bit longer wait.
Over 1000 filed in this one district yesterday. She told me they just don't have the Trustees to handle these caseloads.

Wow, that is amazing. That is long time for a 341 meeting, I wonder if the deadline for objections from creditors is further out because of that too?

10/03/2005 Filed chapter 7 bankruptcy with the western district in washington state!
10/10/2005 Received notification in the mail that my 341 is scheduled for 11/09/2005 with instructions to bring SS Card and ID
11/09/2005 Successful 341! Trustee proclaims NO ASSET DISTRIBUTION!!! OH YEAH!

I guess that's why my Thursday filed by mail papers don't show up with a case number in PACER. I know UPS delivered my filing yesterday morning. Surely the court considers it filed even if they don't have time and personnel to actually ENTER each case into the system.

When I called mine... the mailbox was full.
Had to call back and choose an extension to get a real person.

Filed (emergency petition) today... my 341 meeting is set for 11/17/05.
The line at 8:55 AM was 20 people... took me 90 minutes to get in and out. When I left at 10:30 AM the line was about 75 people...
They scanned my docs into PACER while I was waiting in the queue for the clerk. Everything went OK.
