Motion enter in incorrect format

I entered a motion to vacate the dismissal of my case but I forgot to include my address and last four of social security number. A court date has been scheduled for July 2. Can I resubmit the motion to include the missing requirements. We live in Virginia.

I'm surprised the court clerk accepted it without the address. I don't think I included the SS digits in mine but I did have to write my address in at the court house before they would accept it. Did you have your case number clearly stated? Either way, you do not need to resubmit unless the clerk asks for it. Check PACER and they will have a "deficiency" to correct those items and resubmit if they need them. There was something I needed to correct on my motion as well and I saw that on PACER. They had the resubmitted motion the following business day.

BTW you could've gone the "Ex Parte Emergency Hearing" route and had it heard same day. Make sure you file an order the day after the hearing date or the day of, if you are attending. Otherwise your motion means nothing. Good luck!
