    can you file for redemption for vehicle after a discharge? I want to offer the creditor the wholesale value of the vehicle in exchange for the release of the the lien on the tiltle

    I don't believe it will work post-discharge... but it doesn't hurt to try.

      ok so do I i contact the creditor first to see if this is something they will agree to or just file for the the redemption

        You can try. However, certain motor vehicle lenders are just terrible to work with (like FMC). You may want to file for a redemption first, so you come prepared?
