UST presumption of abuse - they are letting it go

Whew. We converted out 13 to a 7 due to an injury that has ended dh's career and has made him a medical patient for at least a whole year. The UST filed the presumption of abuse and I nearly wet myself until my attorney told me not to panic, that they had to go through the proper paperwork etc etc. I had sent in whatever they asked for in regards to paperwork and it has just been waiting and waiting for the UST to file what they were/were not going to do about it. They decided to not pursue, as my attorney told me they would. *deep breath* I will sleep good tonight.

Gingerbug: Congratulations! Sorry to hear about Dh's injury and will be praying he will be off for work no more than 1 year.

I was deemed 100% disabled after a car accident in 3/05 & 7 surgeries later. I was an Accountant and receiving the news disabled, I fell into a Deep Depression. Praise The Lord, Dh realized it, made the appt. with a doctor & went with me. Doc put me on a Anti-Depressant, until I was told I'm inoperable on my lower back, and needed Pain Management. My pharmacist informed me Pain Meds do not mix with Anti-D. So out the door with the Anti-Ds as the pain began to intensify some every day.

Just recently attempted 'Nursing my Dh' after a weeks hospital stay & 2 1/2 weeks convalencing at home. DH is a truck driver & usually gone from Sun am - Fri. pm. Grrrr, the new learned 'normalcy' of my life was in Jeopardy Naw, just teasing. He almost died. That week is/was a blur for him & me, too some of the time.

Hope and pray your Dh doesn't become depressed. If you think he might be headed down that dark deep hole, please PM me as it is much harder to climb out of the bottom of that hole than was to fall into it.

Again, Glad UST decided NOT to persue the suspected Abuse, Hope both of you have many long nights of sleeping. And if you need some assistance, just PM me. I've been told my friends, family, Nurses and Doctors, I missed my calling - Nursing. So might can help you there too.

Being disabled, my only goal in life, right now, is to help others who are facing some medical maladies or need any tips in helping someone who injured & needs more than just medical assistance.

Hope you are both in bed sound, sound sleep.ZZZZZZZ

Thank you Luci, that is very kind. I have been very careful keeping an eye on dh through this. I think that because of the little kids and all that we do to get out and about as much as possible he is hanging in there. He is mourning the loss of a career he loved and, at the same time, trying to imagine what it will be like finding a new thing to do with his life. It is sad and exciting at the same time.
