I screwed up! How bad is it?

A charge went through on Paypal that I completely forgot about (it's billed quarterly and this was the first bill). I don't have enough funds in my bank account and the backup funding source is a Capital One card that's included in BK. The charge shouldn't through on the card but will I get in trouble for a charge trying to go through? I haven't used my cards for months.

In the meantime, I'm trying to sell things that I have on my desk at work right now so I can run across the street to the bank and deposit something to avoid this whole mess *sigh*

I was in the same boat. I forgot about my auto insurance that was automatically billed through PayPal. I didn't have enough money in my Paypal account to so it went to my back-up funding source - Paypal buyer credit (who I am including in bankruptcy)

My lawyer told me not to worry because it was only around $500, it happened 3 months prior to filing and I have been making minimum payments plus $10 on the account since the purchase.

I have since canceled all automatic payments...

This is for $15. Paypal will probably try to charge the card next week after the bank returns the funds. I filed BK last week. I deleted all the cards now but can't stop the current transaction.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize you had already filed.

Do you have an Ebay account?

Can you throw something up on Ebay with a Buy it Now price and cover the 15.00?

Unfortunately I don't even have a dollar right now, it took everything I had to pay my attorney. My job has online classified ads and I put a lamp and a cute little cat office stapler/tape dispenser/notepad holder on there for $20 each. The transaction will get to my bank tomorrow so I'm hoping someone will come to my office and buy it before the end of the workday today. *crossing my fingers*

I'm sorry. I've been there, it sucks.
Do you have any recycling bins in the office you can raid and take some cans back for a few bucks?

Can I dispute it as unauthorized even if this was a "billing agreement" that I set up in March?

Putting something on Ebay worked! I was trying to sell it on Craigslist...threw it on Ebay, and it sold in a few hours. WHEW! I can breath now.

                        Yay!
Glad it worked out! Enjoy the weekend! Put some more stuff on Ebay and buy yourself some icecream--or vodka!

Or put some vodka in your ice cream!
