The day finally came! We filed yesterday. My hubs thinks I am a bit on the crazy side, but oh I am so happy that part is all done!

I even had the pleasure of recieving a collection call from BCC re: a BOA account. It just tickled me to say I'm sorry Mr. BCC worker (the guy wouldn't give me his name) but we are filing ch 7 as we speak. Needless to say he wasn't very polite. HAHAHA!!

Our lawyer is hopeful that we will know our court date tomorrow. Wouldn't that be sweet.

I also filed yesterday.... and I have gotten 2 calls from chase in the last day. Why are they so nosey? Like I gave them my lawyers contact info... then they proceded to ask me what chapter I was filing for and the lady even asked me why I was filing? Is that any of their business?

It took about 10 days for us to get our letter with the 341 date and information and what the trustee wanted us to send him.
And these people may or may not accept your case number as proof you have filed.
But until they get the notice filtered down to them they may call anyway.

We actually noticed that as soon as we filed the next day or so the phone calls completely stopped.....

You are lucky. Many called us for about 10 days and most quit giving them the BK file number.
But one in particular called us until they got 2 letters a week apart from our attorney.
They finally quit calling just a couple of days before our 341 meeting.

sounds like it depends on the efficiancy of the courts in your area. We'll be finding out soon how good our is.

I think it had little to do with the efficiency of the courts versus the stupidity of the one creditor.
But who cares at this point, we are at 18 days to 60 and counting!
