recent balance transfer?

does anyone know what happens if you did a balance transfer from one credit card to another slightly more than 3 months before filing? i am asking because someone said it was asked at a 341 meeting whether any balance transfers happened within 6 months before filing.

Why not play it safer and wait a year even?I feel the longer I can wait the better for everything.Also rember you can only pull the trigger once in 8 yrs for a chapter 7 I believe it is.Way I look at it I am toast so it not gona matter if file now or yr from now besides I could wrap say a hospital bill up in it if became sick or injured before I file

Yes, wait. I did some last year, and i'm waiting to let it all age a bit. no need to rush unless you are under immediate threat of wage garnishment

It depends on the circumstances. Many BK courts have come around to the idea the straightfoward balance transfers are not a problem. So long as you at least made some payments, and wait at least 90 days, a BT is not objectionable.
