We had a small direct deposit go to a credit union that we owe money too. Can they take that money? We had a couple of dollars in there and they took it before we filed. I am just concerned they won't give us this money... I'm going there but I wanted to know what I could expect! btw this was a left over missed deposit! I thought it was going to the new bank.

I believe that is the purpose of a deposit, in case you don't make payments, and it will be treated as a payment for debt owed. I really do not know anything, but in my case I was not able to get money back for a deposit. -
Yea they can freeze your accounts if you owe them money and have deposits in there. I made sure I got them to cut a check to me on Friday for my balance before I told them I was filing.
