Good points music12. The 09 Honda Fit is not a luxury. Your point makes sense. Thanx for the link. I will check it out.
2xbk...thanx for taking the time to comment. I certainly know what a commercial vehicle can do. I have put 300k miles on two cars. A cavalier and a sentra. I have had no problem getting 60k miles on 70k mile tires. A pro driver must know how to do these things. A good car will do a lot more than you have experienced. No big deal but you should google hhr complaints, troubles, etc. There are people out there who are afraid to drive them.
My debt issues have taken serious negative hits from this hhr. If I cut living expenses to the max, I might squeak through in a year or so. But then maybe not. I know this...If I have to seek bk protection, I will not leave any debt behind. Because 8 years is a long time to have no place to run when trouble strikes again.

if you file for bk you will be required to list all debts - you won't have the choice of leaving any debt behind. so that particular decision has already been made for you...

Yes, you are right. What I should have said was to not let any debt be reaffirmed or otherwise attached to me. 8 years is a long time with no bk protection.
I have even seen comments here that the advice from folks lawyers say to not reaffirm anything. Not even your current vehicle. Unless it is the Ford Motor Co. That was interesting. Just stay current. For they would rather have the money than the car.

I saw the site you sent. There is a gm notice that gmac will still be collecting payments. They well may sue me. I wish I could see the repo mans face when they finally reach their destination with the hhr in tow. They will have to drive it. All that new stuff, plus new tires, full tank of gas and drives like the front end is attached with one screw.
