Filing tomorrow South Florida District

Hi,

I did it all on my own. Have been procrastinating for months to do this, but in light of the new law I was motivated to get all the paperwork and file tomorrow.

basically I had tons of credit card debt and some student loans.
I downloaded the forms from the internet and filled them out.


The most frustrating thing was - getting information about who has my debt. Some creditors would not give address informaiton and some have sold the debt to another collection agency, which sold it to another - so I had to be a spy to figure out who owns my debt and where it is now.

NCO sytems was a major problem.

So it will cost me $209 to file tomorrow. I have to go to kinkos and make all the copies.

Please share your hints and tips on how to get the info -- I am in the same boat, must file this week!!!


On another website, they told me to list the original creditor and any collection agencies also... I can try match them up by the approximate amounts... Any advice?
