Tks all - took a while to get meds straightened out - took 5 days before they found the one I was having a problem with - but all fine since then. I understand that coming back for hip replace is a long process but it is hard to be down for so long - about 6 weeks before one can drive.
And ZP, some here are not always happy with some of my posts but I try to be nice.
Take care all - have a great day - jb

Yea, it's a bummer when you can't drive after surgery for so long. Figure you are having physical therapy after your surgery? Sometimes PT is enough to leave you exhausted for the rest of the day LOL!
My mom had hip replacement surgery several years ago and she is doing fine. It takes while to recover, but you will get there. My mom actually just had a knee replacement as well and she is back at Curves and exercising pain free. Hang in there and good luck with your recovery.

I hope your recovery is smooth. 6 weeks can seem like forever when you are not able to drive and funtion normally.

You have always been nice...I have learned some people just enjoy giving a hard time to other posters - who knows why.
Take care all - have a great day - jb

Yup - rehab twice a day.
My problem came from a fall about 6 years ago and arthritis setting into the hip. Before that I was very active and after none at all - sitting in front of a computer or TV most of the time. So from a physical standpoint I am starting from zero - Rehap in the morning and again in the afternoon and I sleep well. - jb
