We filed chapter 7 no asset in February of this year. Had 341 meeting on 03/26/09 I noticed on pacer listed under deadlines government proof of claim 08/01/2009. What is this??? We do not owe the IRs anything..... Does that mean we will have to wait until 08/01/09 until we are discharged? I assumed we should be discharged at least by the end of May or beginning of June.

Government proof of claim??

Do you owe any state taxes or federal student loans?
Maybe it is just a generic deadline that shows up in your district?
Did you check your history folder and docket and see if there were any POC's filed by any govt entities?
Remember, humans input the data, and can make mistakes, it could be just a clerical error if you have no debt issues with a govt creditor.

The federal government always gets more time to file claims than ordinary creditors. They must be slow or something.
In any event, these dates are preset once your case begins. If you are a no-asset case... the dates are irrelevant.Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

I belive what Mr Justbroke was saying, is it is just a deadline that the govt would have to meet if the govt was going to file a proof of claim.
Since you don't have any debt with a govt entity, it doesn't really apply to your case. It is something that most likely shows up on every BK PACER listing in your district.
Since you are a no asset case, no creditor would file a proof of claim anyway, as their are no claims to be paid in a no asset case.
POC are filed when there are assets/money to be distributed.
