Are schedules I & J based on previous 6 months or looking forward?

The reason why lawyer asked for 6 months is to have a good estimate on how much really the person makes a months. Thats what i think.
as for the schedule I-J you go on monthly gross income..

about blaming the lawyer: it generally makes no difference whose fault it is. what would matter is what the correction will be.

whose fault it is would matter only if someone were trying to accuse the filer of intentionally misleading the trustee or the court. that would be very very rare. even the horror stories on this forum have not been about that.

I am not sure about the advice of “just blame your atourney”. Your atourneys reputation will suffer but you will also face poor consequences if the information is wrong.
I am in the same boat as you with regard to I and J being forward looking. Did you say that you received a temporary windfall just before filing?
