Ok we had our 341 and need to take the post class. Is this one easier then the first one? They have all the info we entered the first time. What do they tell you in the 2nd one? How long did it take?

Yes its easier I think. You dont have to gather any info. Just sit back and watch a video (about 1.5 hrs) and then answer some simple questions. Also, there are some code words that come on the screen during video you have to write down to verify you watched it. Its nice because you dont talk to anyone and its available online. From this day on I move FORWARD!!!

Hot tip alert! ( insert siren noise)
IF you use the 50-30-20 site for your debtor ed, it is first of all cheap ( 14.95) and, here is the real value, cuz in my personal opinion ( and just my opinion , though my post count is over 800 )( if you don't "get" that you will soon)
The BK courses are stooooopidddd,
--you can actually breeze through the course in a few minutes and then at the end, the page auto reloads every minute to refresh the page so you don't have to sit in front of your PC ( or Apple if you are so inclined) --have to be fair--for the full two hours. Just walk away, check your computer in an hour and a half or so and you are done!
Now I am not trying to poo-poo the people that learned something from their debtor ed courses or thought they were valuable, but to me a big waste of time, if you learned something , great!

We have only done the pre. We had started the Consumer Credit Counseling a month or ago thinking a debt management program would help. We were wrong...However, we found the steps in starting the DMP and pre-BK certification very similar.
In my line of work I a required to do continuing education every couple of years, it too is a money making racket similar to the pre-BK certification. Very easy too.6/30/2009 Filed Ch. 7

dingdong where was that wonderful post of yours about when I needed it? I can tell you which one NOT to use. InCharge Education Foundation OMG that second course was ridiculous. It was interactive and had little quizzes throughout and you couldn't go forward before a certain time period. So if you had a reading comprehension rate above a first grader's you had to sit and wait the allotted time period. You also couldn't go forward until you passed each section with a percentage score. Even had a final quiz you need to pass. The hard part was paying attention long enough to pass the quizzes to move on. My eyes glazed over in the first ten minutes. A MAJOR waste of time IMO. It took almost two and a half hours to complete. I would have paid someone to finish that course for me it was that bad. I rated it as poorly as they would let me. BLEAH!!Ch 7 filed: 3/30

I'm hoping we can find an online course to use as Our Attorney wants us to use CCCS and that is an in person 3-4 hr. class. Hubby is an OTR Truck Driver & missed the whole month of April due to illness. He cannot afford to take off for some silly Bankruptcy course mandated in the 2005 Overhaul of the Bankruptcy Laws.
We did the first course last Sept. 08. It was by phone & she asked all kinds of questions which I didn't have the paperwork near me. When I told her I needed to go get it, she said No, she give me estimated figures. What a Joke! and it was $50.
Which, BTW, we will have to repeat as the certificate we received expired 180 days and we have filed yet.

You are most welcome. I have learned a Whole Lot from your Posts and you've also 'in a very nice way' have told me when I've given information my lawyer said which was wrong. But again, you are right in that Districts are different.
I just found out yesterday there was a case in my District (8th) where IRA distributions are not considered as Income for the Means Test.
